PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
ACOUSTICAL TRANSMISSION LOSS
BARRIER MATERIAL
This specification is approved for use by the Naval Sea Systems Command, Department of the Navy, and
is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements for two types of acoustical transmission loss
barrier material (see 6.1)
1.2 Classification. Material furnished under this specification is one of the types and classes in Table I
as specified (see 6.2).
